Hey guys! I’m back with a book review, yay!
I preordered “this modern love” by Will Darbyshire and finally got it!!!
This book is created by Will Darbyshire, who is a 23-year-old British film-maker and has over one million followers on his social medias. This book is filled with letters, stories and photographs about love. “This modern love” is created for all those in love, out of love and everything in between, and I guess I’m something in between. I don’t have much experience when it comes to love, but I have always been interested in hearing other people’s stories. This book immediately caught my attention, when Will introduced it 8 months ago on his YouTube channel and I wanted to submit something myself, but soon realized that I’ve never been in love and have nothing to write about *sad face*. The aesthetic of the book was the first thing that caught my eyes, when I received it because it looks rustic and old with the scuffed edges. I don’t think it’s meant to look like that, but I don’t care. I love it this way!
Here are some of my favorite letters from the book:
You are like that one piece of artwork in an art gallery that people spend a little longer admiring.
They say after four months, it isn’t a crush anymore, it’s love. It didn’t take me four months to realize that.
You’re my moon, my stars, you’re my sunrises and sunsets. You’re the crisp mountain air, the first layer of snow, and that steady rainfall after a humid day. You’re just everything. Thank you for being everything.
you ruined so many songs for me.

It’s been five continuous years of me holding his hand, and still feeling like I’m reaching for yours.
When you’d run a sleepy hand through your tangled hair, my heart would crumble to sugar. I would’ve told you too, but every time I tried my throat closed up all tight. I had to turn away.
Happy Valentine’s day
